Resilience, durability, strong, straight, and true. That is the Totara tree which we will plant to signify the first 100 years of our club, Christchurch Avon Athletic Club. It's symbolic of our past and will grow with us into the future. Enduring and proud above ground whilst underground its roots provide energy and strength, as our community does for us. Come and join us to celebrate our centenary Totara tree planting and look forward to a future of growth and dependability, of community and courage. We honour this planting on the birth of a new national holiday, Matariki, on FRIDAY, JUNE 24th at 10:30 AM, meeting at the Christchurch Avon clubrooms located at 151 Greers Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053.
